JM Appliances sells brand-new, open-box and manufacturer-refurbished products. The condition of every product is stated on its product page before you buy. This page explains what each condition means for packaging, warranty and your right to return.
New
A new product is brand new, never used, in its original packaging with the factory seal unbroken. It has not been unboxed, displayed, or returned by another customer.
New products carry the manufacturer's warranty and may be returned within 30 days, including if you simply change your mind. See our Return & Refund Policy for the full terms.
Open Box
An open-box product is one whose original packaging has been opened. It may be a customer return, a display or floor model, or overstock whose packaging was opened or damaged during handling.
Open-box products always include the essential accessories needed to use the product, such as power cords, remote controls, shelves and hoses. They may show minor cosmetic marks, may not include the original packaging, and may be missing non-essential items.
Any known damage — scratches, dents, cosmetic imperfections, missing accessories or other deficiencies — is disclosed to you to the extent known by JM Appliances. Any cost of repairing existing damage or replacing missing parts is the responsibility of the purchaser unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Open-box products carry a 1-year JM Appliances warranty covering parts and labour. They are sold as final sale and cannot be returned if you change your mind, though they can be exchanged for a manufacturing fault.
Refurbished
Our refurbished products have been refurbished by the original manufacturer. They may have been inspected, repaired, tested or restored by the manufacturer before being offered for resale, and may show signs of previous use or cosmetic wear.
Refurbished products carry a 30-day in-store warranty provided by JM Appliances and may be exchanged if a manufacturing fault appears within that period. This warranty is separate from any manufacturer's warranty, which should not be assumed to apply.
Floor models and reservations
Floor models and open-box products may be available for pickup or delivery within our service areas. Special, discounted or promotional pricing on these products cannot be combined with other discounts or promotions unless we specifically state otherwise.
To reserve or hold a floor model or open-box product, a non-refundable deposit of 45% may be required. The remaining balance must be paid in full, and the product must be collected or delivered within 7 days.
Inspect before you buy
Customers are welcome to inspect eligible products in-store before completing a purchase. Please ask our team about the item's condition, the accessories included, and the warranty that applies.
