Information we collect
When you place an order, create an account, or contact us, we collect your name, email address, telephone number, billing address, delivery address including postal code, the details of your order, and any correspondence you send us.
When you browse our website, we automatically collect your IP address, browser type and version, device type, the pages you visit, how long you spend on them, the link or search that brought you to us, and cookie identifiers.
We do not store your full payment card details. Card payments are processed by Stripe, and your card information is transmitted directly to them over an encrypted connection.

Marketing emails
With your consent, we may send you emails about our products, promotions and offers. You can withdraw your consent at any time by using the unsubscribe link in any marketing email, or by emailing info@jmappliances.ca. We will action unsubscribe requests within 10 business days.
Every marketing email we send identifies JM APPLIANCES INC. and includes our mailing address at Unit 15, 1275 Morningside Ave, Scarborough, Ontario M1B 3W1.
Cookies and analytics
Cookies are small files placed on your device. We use strictly necessary cookies to keep your shopping cart working, keep you signed in, and secure checkout. The website cannot function without these.
We also use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use our website so that we can improve it. We do not currently run advertising or remarketing tags.
We display a cookie consent banner when you first visit, and you can manage your preferences there. You can also control cookies through your browser settings, though blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent checkout from working.

JM Appliances does not sell or rent your personal information to third parties.
Where your information is stored
Some of our service providers, including BigCommerce and Stripe, may store or process data outside Canada, including in the United States. Information stored in another country may be accessible to that country's authorities under its laws.

Security
This website uses SSL encryption. Payment pages, account pages and checkout are encrypted in transit. We restrict access to personal information to staff who need it to do their job.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your rights
Under Canadian privacy law you have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, to ask us to correct information that is wrong or incomplete, to withdraw consent to marketing at any time, to ask us to delete information we no longer need, and to make a complaint about how we have handled your information.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada at priv.gc.ca.
Children
This website is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of majority in their province.
